On Saturday, the 21st February, the sacred month of Ramadhan began on a spiritually uplifting note as the Fusion Inyameko Foundation hosted its annual Ramadhan Seminar under the theme, “Journeying Back Towards Allah”. Hosted at Islamia Academia Auditorium in Lansdowne, it focused on the powerful concept of Tawbah (repentance). The seminar encouraged attendees to reflect deeply, renew their faith, and embrace the transformative essence of the holy month.
The theme resonated strongly with those present, reminding them that Ramadhan is not only about fasting, but about returning sincerely to Allah with humility and hope.
The programme featured respected guest speakers whose words left a lasting impact on the audience. Basheera Hendricks Gamieldien delivered a heartfelt reminder about the mercy of Allah. She emphasised that tawbah is not a sign of weakness, but a powerful act of strength and sincerity.
Sheikh Muaath Abrahams talk focused on the goal of taqwah during the month of Ramadan. He reminded attendees that the month is not only a time for fasting but a unique opportunity to strengthen one’s relationship with Allah
Sheikh Ismail Londt further deepened the spiritual atmosphere, highlighting that true repentance requires both regret and action by awakening the heart of oneselve.
A moving Qur’an recitation by Haafith Zuhayr Isaacs beautifully complemented the seminar’s message. His melodious recitation brought many in the audience to tears, serving as a reminder of the power of the Qur’an to soften hearts and guide believers back to their Creator.
However, the seminar was not only about inspiration, but it was also about action. The Fusion Inyameko Foundation used the platform to highlight the impactful work it carries out during Ramadhan. Among its initiatives is the annual Qur’an Drive, aimed at distributing copies of the Qur’an to those who may not have access to one. The foundation also runs the Orphan Eid Boutique Drive, ensuring that orphaned children are able to experience the joy of Eid with dignity through new clothing and essentials.
In addition, the Eid-ul-Fitr Cooking Drive supports vulnerable Muslim families by providing meals and food parcels so that they too can celebrate Eid with comfort and happiness. These initiatives reflect Fusion’s commitment to serving the community beyond words, that's putting faith into action.
Through collective support, Fusion Inyameko Foundation continues to uplift those in need and embody the true spirit of Ramadan.

Alhamdulillah, it is very nice and encouraging to see that we are is using our Ramadaan in a way that brings Allah's hammpimess to us. Masha Allah.
